Xilinx MicroBlaze Processor Named to EDN's Hot 100 Products Of 200531 January 2006
EDN magazine has named the MicroBlaze(TM) processor from Xilinx, Inc. (Nasdaq: XLNX) to this year's list of winners in its annual Hot 100 Products issue. The Xilinx MicroBlaze solution is a scalable processor system that enables embedded developers to tune performance to match the requirements of target applications. The 32-bit RISC "soft" processor core operates at frequencies up to 200 MHz and raises the bar for ease of use with user-configurable hardware options. The performance-optimized 4.00 version of the MicroBlaze processor also features an optional floating point unit that can accelerate system performance by as much as 120 times over software emulation.
