LIVE IT with Texas Instruments at CES 2005

Helping define how consumers will experience the digital lifestyle in the future, Texas Instruments Incorporated (NYSE: TXN) (TI) will showcase the latest developments and forward look at enabling technologies for consumer applications ranging from home theater to
portable media and wireless technologies at the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show
(CES), January 6-9, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth #8202. (See

Highlights:
* HEAR IT! -- TI's President and CEO Rich Templeton will deliver the Day
2 Keynote Speech, "This is Your Life - TI Helps You Live It"
(3:30 p.m. Friday, January 7, Las Vegas Hilton).
* SEE IT! -- In Booth 8202, TI will feature a digital living experience
that gives a hands-on understanding of the breadth of consumer
offerings TI turns on throughout the home and beyond.
* EXPERIENCE IT! -- Five pavilions will provide attendees a glimpse at
the wide array of consumer applications that TI is driving:
* Wireless -- TI's wireless pavilion will showcase the coolest cell
phones and wireless networking running on TI's OMAP(TM) processors,
TCS cellular chipsets and Wi-Fi technology. Experience the latest
in mobile entertainment driving 2.5G and 3G cell phones, as well as
how you can increase your productivity and unwire your home, office
and entertainment with Wi-Fi.
* Video & Imaging - TI's video and imaging pavilion will display
several different ways TI is impacting this market, including
* Digital Camera: TI technology provides manufacturers advanced
features on cameras, such as the ability to edit photos directly
on the camera and bypassing the PC. These technologies will be
on display in cameras from Kodak, HP, Olympus and more.
* Streaming Media: The digitally connected home is now a reality
due to TI's streaming media technology, delivering streaming
content anywhere, anytime, to any device. TI will be
demonstrating streaming media devices from Sling Media, Sony and
Creative, as well as a host of set top boxes utilizing TI's
streaming media platform.
* Mixed Signal Video: Several DVD-related products from DMTech,
Emerson and Samsung will be on display, showcasing TI's Mixed
Signal Video capabilities.
* Broadband -- Voice over broadband is poised to explode in the
coming years and TI's VoIP technology is driving future
adoption. TI will demonstrate the future of voice-enabled
devices with a new IP video phone incorporating TI's voice and
video technology.
* Audio -- TI's audio pavilion will display several audio
applications that leverage TI's expertise in audio, including
* HD Radio(TM) receivers will play live digital radio broadcasts
and several Eureka 147 Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB)
receivers will be on display, including handheld radios,
portable radios, tabletop radio and a hi-fi tuner.
* The latest portable digital audio and multimedia players will be
available, showcasing leading-edge capabilities enabled by TI
processors.
* Home theater systems will be demonstrating the latest in audio
innovation, including multi-channel surround sound and TI's
PurePath Digital amplifier technology for enhanced sound
quality.
* DLP(TM) -- TI will be demonstrating the latest in DLP TVs and
projectors. Expect to see even better contrast and resolutions,
and new and innovative form factors from DLP TV customers. Also on
display for the first time will be an entirely new category of
micro projectors based on DLP technology; and all-in-one projector
systems.
* Future Technology -- In addition to the cool products on the market
that TI helps make possible today, the Future Technology pavilion
will preview upcoming innovations in audio, imaging, wireless,
transportation, personal security and much more.

* Additional demos at the Las Vegas Hilton include:
* Automotive Infotainment -- Consumers can quickly rip their CD
collection to a car radio's hard disk drive using high speed
encoding and easily navigate it with an embedded CD database.
* Class-D Audio Power Amplifiers -- Cutting-edge audio amplifiers
enable power-efficient smart phones and flat-panel TVs with the
features and form factors consumers demand.
* Wireless USB over Ultra Wideband (UWB) -- Wireless USB over UWB
enables consumers to connect multiple devices within a room for
ultra-fast transfers without a web of wires.
* Digital Amplification -- Rich, life-like sound quality in ultra-
slim DVD receivers will reach a price point that will appeal to the
mass consumer with TI's new digital amplifier technology.
* Multi-Channel Audio -- TI will showcase unmatched home theater
surround sound the way it should be, with sweet spots for every
listener in the room!
* Streaming Media -- The digitally connected home is now a reality
due to TI's streaming media technology, delivering streaming
content anywhere, anytime, to any device.
