TI Updates Fourth-Quarter 2006 Business Outlook

In a scheduled update to its business outlook for the fourth quarter of 2006, Texas Instruments Incorporated (NYSE: TXN) (TI) today revised its expected ranges for revenue and earnings per share (EPS).


The company's expectations for revenue are:


* Total revenue between $3.35 billion and $3.50 billion, compared with


the prior range of $3.46 billion to $3.75 billion;


* Semiconductor revenue between $3.28 billion and $3.42 billion,


compared with the prior range of $3.39 billion to $3.66 billion; and


* Educational & Productivity Solutions revenue between $70 million and


$80 million, compared with the prior range of $70 million to


$90 million.


TI expects EPS from continuing operations between $0.37 and $0.40, compared with the previous range of $0.40 to $0.46.
