Texas Instruments Chosen as EE Times ACE Award Finalist25 January 2005
EE Times' distinguished Review Committee for the ACE Awards selected Texas Instruments Incorporated (NYSE: TXN) (TI) as a finalist for Company of the Year - Large, in addition to reader selections for the Ultimate Products of the Year in the Analog ICs, Logic & Programmable Logic and Power categories. The inaugural EE Times ACE Awards, which celebrate demonstrated leadership in the electronics industry, will be presented on March 9, 2005 at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Francisco. TI was chosen as a finalist in the Company of the Year category based on its proven track record in technical excellence, professionalism, staff development and retention, customer focus and profitable growth. Five TI products were nominated for the Ultimate Products of the Year -- one in the Analog IC category, one in the Logic & Programmable Logic category and three in the Power category. Selections were based on the most significant products introduced in the last twelve months as determined by large-scale peer review. Finalists in each category were chosen by selected, qualified readers of EE Times and eeProductCenter on a quarterly basis via electronic balloting. Quarterly voting was from a list of 10 nominees in each of seven categories submitted to readers by expert editors with accompanying editorial reviews. More than 1,000 engineers participated in the voting process.
