Supertex's New Eight Channel, High Voltage, Analog Switches Feature Low Quiescent Power Dissipation22 March 2006
Supertex (NASDAQ: SUPX), a recognized leaderin high voltage analog and mixed signal integrated circuits (ICs), todayintroduced the HV2201 and the HV2301, two new low charge injection, eightchannel, high voltage analog switch ICs. These ICs feature robust latch-upprotection and a very low quiescent current of 10mA, which results inbetter operating efficiency in applications that require high voltageanalog switching controlled by low voltage signals, such as medicalultrasound imaging, non-destructive metal-flaw detection, and otherpiezoelectric transducer driving. Additionally, the HV2301 featuresintegrated bleed resistors that not only minimize noise but also reduce PCBspacing requirements.
Additional features include 22 ohm switch resistance that minimizes returnsignal attenuation, serial shift register control to reduce I/Oconnections, and up to 200V operating voltage for higher transmit voltagesand deeper imaging capability. The devices combine high voltage bilateralDMOS switches and low power CMOS logic to provide efficient control of highvoltage analog signals.
