SED International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SECX.PK) today announced the hiring of George Krouskos as Director of Purchasing, Computer Hardware and Rob Damrow as Director of Purchasing, Consumer Electronics. The addition of these two seasoned industry executives to the US management team significantly strengthens the company's product management organization at a time of rapid growth and important new vendor relationships. Both Krouskos and Damrow will report to Chuck Marsh, Senior VP of Purchasing. The company recently announced the addition of significant new product lines, including Western Digital, Canon, AKAI, and Mitsubishi. More is on the way as SED continues to strengthen its linecard to meet customer needs and supply complete solutions for a growing customer base. "Both George and Rob are broadly skilled executives who bring strong leadership and industry experience to SED," said Marsh. "They will lead the maturation of each business unit and ensure we are appropriately structured for the growth we see ahead. Additionally, as senior, experienced executives, they will be invaluable in driving each unit as we reach for higher levels of performance." Krouskos has over 20 years of computer industry and distribution experience, and was most recently responsible for the components division at Tech Data Corporation, a worldwide distributor in the IT channel. While at Tech Data, Krouskos ran the Components Business Unit and was responsible for the vendor relationships as well as sales for the larger System Integrator customers. Previous experience includes being General Manager of ComputerLand franchises in the greater Tampa area dating back to the early 80's. "SED has a long and rich tradition of providing excellent service and support to the System Builder community," said Krouskos. "As the convergence in the industry continues, System Builders will need to look for new markets to penetrate beyond the traditional PC business. We will expand our product breadth to help our customers reach those new opportunities as well as develop new services to support them." Damrow joins SED from BDI -- Laguna, a distributor of consumer electronics products, where he served as Vice President, Consumer Electronics. His 16 years in the consumer electronics channel includes various positions with major reseller and manufacturer companies. "Changes in the consumer electronics industry are happening at a much greater speed than at any other time in recent history," states Damrow. "At SED we are effectively able to make these changes seamless to both the manufacturer and the resellers, enabling the end user to get the product they want when they want it. The Consumer Electronics business at SED is rapidly growing and will continue to grow in volume as well as vendor and product offerings. Our goal is to offer our customers the products they desire while exceeding their customer service expectations."
