SAMSUNG And ColorVision Partner To Offer Businesses More Accurate Color Printing

Samsung Electronics America Inc. and Datacolor, announce a partnership that will finally enable businesses, small and large, to better produce professional quality color print jobs in house and ensure that the color of what is printed is the color that is intended.

As part of their alliance, ColorVision®, the Digital Imaging Unit of Datacolor has certified Samsung's 500 series color laser printers ( CLP-550, CLP-500, and CLP-510 ) as compatible with the ColorVision PrintFIX™ Suite. Samsung's Printer Business Solution Team will now be offering corporate and small business customers PrintFIX as part of a total business printing solution. Both companies will take advantage of common distribution channels.

The PrintFIX Suite is an integrated hardware / software solution that ensures the color of what is printed matches the color on a user’s display. ColorVision products deliver solutions that control and create affordable tools for color management that assure consistent, accurate, reliable color output.

This partnership will greatly benefit "Prosumers", professionals who require expertise in color management ( Desk-Top-Production/ DTP ) for their success and for whom digital color is important: e.g. architects, fashion and apparel designers, manufacturers as well as executives in corporate, marketing, advertising, law, publishing, and public relations agencies. PrintFIX has even helped lawyers in a criminal case who couldn’t have "blood looking brown" in a printout presented to jurors.

PrintFIX builds profiles for color laser printers to be produced on a wide array of paper types. The PrintFIX patch reader hardware and the v1.2 software works within Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements to ensure consistent, accurate and reliable digital color printing.
