Saifun Board of Directors Authorizes the Repurchase of Up to 1.5 Million of Saifun Ordinary Shares10 February 2007
Saifun Semiconductors Ltd. (NASDAQ: SFUN), a provider of intellectual property solutions for the non-volatile memory (NVM) market, today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the Company to purchase up to 1.5 million of its ordinary shares, which represent approximately 4.8% of the total currently outstanding shares of the Company. Shares may be purchased from time to time in open market transactions in accordance with applicable federal securities laws. The repurchase plan, including the timing of repurchases and the exact number of securities to be purchased will depend upon prevailing market conditions and other factors to be determined by the Company's management and its Board of Directors. Such repurchases will be made using the Company's own cash resources. As of December 31, 2006, the Company had cash and cash equivalents, short term investments and marketable securities of approximately $231 million and 31.5 million shares outstanding.
