Mobility Electronics and Energizer Enter Multi-Year Strategic Alliance

20 January 2005

Mobility Electronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOBE), a leading provider of innovative portable power and
computing solutions for the mobile electronic device user, and Energizer Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ENR), through its Energizer Battery, Inc. subsidiary, today announced the formation of a multi-year strategic alliance to jointly pursue the electronic device power adapter and battery markets.
Under the terms of the agreement, Mobility Electronics and Energizer have agreed to jointly develop and market a family of new power adapter and battery products that combine and leverage each company's leading edge patented technology. This new product category, which will include the addition of Energizer battery capability on a number of Mobility's unique power adapter and itip(TM) products, will be distributed through Energizer's and Mobility's global channels. Energizer currently distributes its products through hundreds of thousands of retail locations that can potentially carry this new product family.
Energizer will also market and distribute Energizer branded versions of a number of Mobility's current universal power adapters for consumer electronic devices on a worldwide basis. Mobility's patented power technology allows a single power adapter to be utilized with a wide variety of portable electronic devices (cell phones, PDAs, digital cameras, etc.). The combination AC/DC models also provide the capability of simultaneously powering/charging two
portable electronic devices from any standard power source -- air, auto and wall outlets -- when utilized with the iGo DualPower(TM) accessory.
"We are extremely pleased to align Mobility Electronics with a premier battery company and one of the world's most recognized and respected brands," said Charlie Mollo, CEO of Mobility Electronics. "With Energizer's endorsement of the itip standard and distribution capability, this
relationship can dramatically increase the availability of our consumer electronics power adapters. We have significantly strengthened our ability to access a broad variety of new retail outlets such as grocery stores, drug stores, and other locations where batteries are sold, and have the opportunity to truly make our products ubiquitous in the marketplace. This is a landmark agreement for Mobility that will greatly enhance our future growth prospects."
"This relationship marks Energizer's entrance into one of the fastest growing areas of the power market," said Joe Fisher, Vice President of Business Development for Energizer Battery, Inc. "Mobility's universal power adapters and itip standard represent a significant advancement in power technology, and we are very pleased to work with them to offer consumers innovative power and battery-related products that provide enhanced
convenience and functionality."

Products covered under this agreement include the following:

* iGo EverywherePower(TM) 3500 -- a compact AC/DC power adapter that
powers and charges portable electronic devices from any power source.

* iGo AutoPower(TM) -- a DC adapter that powers and charges portable
electronic devices from any standard auto power outlet.

* iGo WallPower(TM) -- an AC adapter that powers and charges portable
electronic devices from any standard wall power outlet.

* itips(TM) -- interchangeable tips that allow consumers to utilize a
single power adapter for all of their portable electronic devices by
simply switching tips.

* New Products -- a range of new products will be developed and marketed
by both companies.

Energizer plans to begin rolling out Mobility's current products in the mid- to later part of 2005. The first jointly developed products are planned for launch in late 2005 or early 2006.
