LG Electronics Redefines Three-Door Refrigerator Category with Revolutionary Technology15 December 2005
Building on its extensive home appliance product portfolio, LG Electronics, a leading global consumer products manufacturer, today unveiled a new refrigeration technology for its three-door models, designed to offer consumers increased flexibility and convenience. The company's current line of Panorama Three-Door refrigerators will now include a model with an external ice and water dispenser which places the icemaker within the refrigerator door -- versus in the freezer compartment as on previous three-door models -- offering consumers a greater level of convenience and more functionality. The new models are on display at the company's 2006 product preview event in New York City.

LG Panorama Three-Door Refrigerators are available in three sizes: a 21 cubic foot cabinet depth model, a 22 cubic foot model with a narrow width of 33-inches and a full-sized 25 cubic foot model, providing for enhanced flexibility. With the symmetrical contoured doors, hidden hinges and curved handles, this refrigerator is a welcome addition to any kitchen.
The product line offers the optional ice and water dispenser with TouchSense(TM) Control and Digital LED Display, slide-out split shelves, the BioShield(TM) anti-bacteria gasket, two-piece utility bin, wine rack and adjustable gallon size shelf in right door. Also, an OptiBin(TM) Crisper controls the different moisture levels for fruits and vegetables to helping to keep produce fresh, longer. The drawer-style freezer also tilts for easier access.
All LG Panorama Three-Door Refrigerators feature LG's exclusive multi-airflow system -- an innovative cooling mechanism in which all refrigerator shelves are outfitted with venting ducts for optimal cavity cooling and food freshness -- an express freezing function that helps lock in freshness, and digital temperature controls in the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Located on the front of fresh food compartments, these controls are easy to reach and adjust, and can be locked to prevent unwanted changes.
The updated LG Panorama Three-Door Refrigerator models are available Q1 2006 in a variety of finishes including smooth white, smooth black, titanium and stainless steel, with manufacturer's suggested retail prices ranging from $1,499 to $2,899.
