L-3 Communications' SPAR Aerospace and ITT Industries to jointly develop Electronic Warfare solutions for the C-130 Hercules25 February 2006
L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today at Asian Aerospace 2006 that its SPAR Aerospace Limited (L-3 SPAR) subsidiary has signed a teaming agreement with ITT Electronic Systems Division (ITT Electronic Systems) for the joint development, marketing and implementation of Electronic Warfare (EW) solutions for the global C-130 Hercules market, as well as other military aircraft platforms. L-3 SPAR is exhibiting at Asian Aerospace 2006 from February 21-26 at Hall A Stand 1219. Under the terms of the agreement, L-3 SPAR will be the prime contractor, with ITT Electronic Systems acting as the system provider and integrator for EW solutions. EW is a suite of electronic warfare technologies, systems and services that enable mission success and survivability for aircraft, and include advanced threat warning, situational awareness and electronic and electro-optic countermeasures equipment and suites.
