Kwick ViSiM - India's First Comprehensive Suite of Virtual Reality Services

21 February 2005

Kwick ViSiM will provide high-end applications, solutions at a fraction of the cost of other VR solution providers and does not require high-end hardware. It can run in commonly available PC's with an inexpensive 3D graphics card and on different versions of Windows, Linux and UNIX platforms.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Shammer Shah, Managing Director, Kwick Soft said, "Our aim is to create new standards of capabilities, products, solutions and services in each of our initiatives. Through KWICK ViSiM, we will provide software solutions that will optimize our clients' business. We hope to reach a wide spectrum of users by creating methodologies which will add value through IT and that, which will be user friendly, faster and affordable".

The Visualization & Simulation industry, which was around US$ 50 Billion in 2004, is expected to touch US $60 Billion in 2005 -2006 and US $78 Billion in 2008. The forecast continues to be strong for the next several years. This is owing to the fact that many industries are becoming more aware of such facilities and value their advantages with productivity in mind. Kwick Soft's prime markets will be US, UK, Germany, Middle East and India. The Indian operations have commenced and today Kwick Soft announced its US operations. By the end of 3rd quarter or early 4th quarter this year, Kwick Soft will commence its operations in Germany, UK and the Middle East.

Mr. John Philip, Chief Technology Officer Kwick Soft detailing the technology said, "KWICK ViSiM is a service offering based on our Kwick3D engine and technology. KWICK ViSiM will radically transform the very way we interact with the virtual world by enabling us to process information more effectively when presented as a combination of sight, sound and touch. It would transport the user into new and exciting realms of alternative realities such as Virtual, Immersive and Augmented realities. KWICK ViSiM will act as the universal interface and facilitator that binds together 3D Graphics, Visualization, Simulation, Interactive Technologies and Software applications into one seamless entity. What was once limited to the domain of large corporations and research laboratories using sophisticated and expensive proprietary hardware and software systems will now be available to the users of desktop computers".

Detailing on the market opportunities, Mr. E Muralidharan, Chief - Global Marketing Services said, "KWICK ViSiM will initially focus on the Vast Opportunity Segments (VOS) of Manufacturing, Aeronautical, Defense, Tele-education, Electronics, Power, Electrical, Gas & Oil and Automotive. These sectors put together have already reaped tangible benefits and spent close to US $ 15 billion".

KWICK ViSiM takes complete advantage of its services positioning and abundant technology skills that lend wider application offering to a larger market segment. The next advantage arises from cost benefit through outsourcing such services and applications to India. In addition to this, Kwick Soft leverages the scope for partnering with existing market players and give peer level service, technology and cost advantage.

Mr. Paras L S Sethi, Chief Executive Officer Kwick Soft while outlining the company's business strategy, said, "From today, we will be able to provide our customers solutions for their present and future requirements and who so far had to be contended only with solutions that are quite out dated. Kwick Soft hopes to reach revenues of approx 12 – 16 Million USD by 2007."

Mr. Paras L S Sethi further elaborated on how Kwick ViSiM solutions can bring in significant value to its customers. He said, "The response we have got so far has been very encouraging. We have already started work with a leading international automobile brand and a textile brand. Our advantage is that we will make a difference beyond cost because we will not provide partial solutions but meet our customers' Total Business Lifecycle. To this effect, we have built a robust architecture of people, technology and geography to meet the complex and changing needs of businesses. We will participate in international trade shows, events and seminars to communicate our capabilities. Today we are a 30-person corporation, but by the end of 2006 or early 2007, we plan to grow to 250 to manage increasing projects from five locations in the US, Germany, UK and the Middle East. By 2008-2009 we expect to be a 500 person company and covering more regions within US and across Europe."
