Focus Enhancements, Inc. (NASDAQ: FCSE), a worldwide leader in video production, PC-to-TV conversion and Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology, today announced Comtrend Corporation, a leading provider of total solutions to the telecommunications and data communications industry, has chosen its FS453 TV-out chip for its new state-of-the-art and cost-effective TV-over-Internet protocol set-top box (IPTV STB).
The Comtrend CT-7010 delivers broadband TV, video on demand (VoD), Internet and streaming video and data services. IPTV services allow telecommunications companies, cable operators or Internet service providers to leverage investments in asymmetric digital subscriber lines (ADSL), hybrid fiber-cable (HFC) and fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) infrastructures by delivering TV over existing hardware.
