Electronics and trend-setting fashions are tipped
to be this year's hottest Christmas gifts according to the
latest search figures from Trade Me.
iPod claims the
top spot with 91,928 searches, while fashion label Roxy and
internet game Runescape claim second and third place.
Playboy hops into fifth place with 52,536 searches as
Billabong climbs up to number six. Other strong performers
include global brand Louis Vuitton with 48,580 searches,
local hero Karen Walker with 48,670 searches and Sony’s Play
Station Portable with 38,368 searches.
Forty two
percent of goods listed on Trade Me are now new
goods.
And if you've asked Santa for a trampoline for
Christmas, you may be in luck. The summertime favourite
springs up eight spots to fourth place with 55,038 searches,
making it this month's biggest mover. Watersports are also
on the mind with kayak entering the top 20 for the first
time.
