Electric City's Maximum Performance Group Expands Energy Management and HVAC Monitoring Program With PC Richard & Son

6 December 2005

Electric City Corp. (Amex: ELC) and its newest subsidiary, Maximum Performance Group (MPG), are pleased to announce that MPG will be rolling out its patented industry leading, Energy Management and Control (eMAC(TM)) to all remaining PC Richard & Son facilities currently operating without the eMAC technology. MPG is entering into its 3rd year of successful energy management and HVAC monitoring for PC Richard & Son.
Central to expanding this contract was the two year energy savings measurement and verification report on the existing PC Richard facilities. MPG demonstrated consistent energy savings of over 20% on the total facility energy consumption, accounting for over $650,000 in annual energy savings, chain wide.
Upon completion of the project with installations at all remaining locations, MPG will monitor and control the lighting and HVAC systems at all 51 PC Richard & Son facilities including their corporate headquarters through its web-based eMAC(TM) platform. This will equate to over 340 HVAC systems and over 50 lighting systems.
"MPG has delivered on its promise to significantly decrease energy costs relating to our HVAC and lighting systems," stated Peter Richard, Executive Vice President. "Managing our systems real-time, via the web through the eMAC platform in all our facilities gives us the highest level of energy management and operational control. This translates directly to lower operating costs, higher customer satisfaction and reduced down time during critical cooling months," added Mr. Richard.
"Our success with PC Richard and Son is a prime example of how our technology integrates seamlessly into our customers' operations," stated Leonard Pisano, President and CEO of Maximum Performance Group and COO of Electric City. "As our clients continue to expand their facilities and related operations they also continue to expand the eMAC platform. We realize this success by delivering measurable performance on a day to day basis. During the severe cooling and heating months our ability to analyze and diagnose system problems via the web before a system fails empowers our customers to proactively manage their facilities versus always reacting to problems. Given the current climate of the energy markets we believe results oriented, integrated solutions will be a necessity -- not an option. Our track record with customers such as PC Richard & Son continues to put us at the leading edge of this volatile market," concluded Mr. Pisano.
