CMP Media Promotes Patrick Mannion to Editor of EE Times

CMP Media announced today the promotion of Patrick Mannion to editor of EE Times (http://www.eetimes.com), where he will be responsible for day-to-day operations, focusing his editorial team on the technology, business issues and people that make up the electronic engineering community. Formerly EE Times Executive Editor and a veteran electronic engineer, Mannion helped transform the 33-year-old electronics newsweekly into a global news and information source for the creators of technology.
"Patrick's technical chops, his hustle and drive have really propelled EE Times to the forefront of technology coverage," said Fuller. In his role as an expert on wireless communications, he also has helped to craft technical sessions for CMP Media's Embedded Systems Conference programs in San Francisco and in Boston.
Prior to joining CMP Media, he worked as components and then communications editor at Electronic Design, and earlier in his career covered computer boards, optoelectronics, displays, components, testing and measurement for Electronic Products Magazine. Mannion holds electronic engineering degrees from the Sligo Institute of Technology and Dundalk Institute of Technology, both of Ireland.
