CellForCash.com to donate 1,500 cell phones to non-profit organization that helps senior citizens

CellForCash.com, a website that pays cash for used cell phones, announced today that it will donate 1,500 cell phones to Phones For Life, a New York-based non-profit organization that provides emergency 911 phones to the elderly.

James Mosier, chief executive officer of RMS Communications Group Inc., CellForCash.com’s parent company, said his company decided to make the donation to mark Phones For Life’s decision to expand from a regional to a national organization.

“We have partnered with Phones For Life for some time, working with them to collect the used cell phones that ultimately find their way into the hands of deserving seniors,” Mosieur said. “We are delighted to work with them as they expand their mission to include seniors and others across America.”

Mosieur said CellForCash.com would donate 500 phones to Phones For Life every month for the next three months.

RMS Communications Group Inc. is a Florida-based company that has been in the used cell phone recycling business since the mid-1990s.
