Anchor Semiconductor's NanoScope(TM)-YAM Adopted by UMC for Design Verification of Layout Patterns25 July 2006
Anchor Semiconductor, Inc., an industry leader in semiconductor DFM (Design For Manufacturing) software products, today announced that world leading semiconductor foundry UMC uses Anchor's NanoScope-YAM product in UMC's DFM flow for full-chip design verification of layout patterns to help achieve first time silicon success. The control of layout-to-silicon pattern transfer has become a main challenge to the semiconductor industry in its continuous pursuit of advanced nanometer technologies. Most yield problems including performance related yield problems come from pattern transfer. NanoScope-YAM provides powerful engines in pattern search and pattern analysis to achieve higher semiconductor yield based on manufacturing know-how.
