Allegro Introduces H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Certification Service at IBC 20062 September 2006
Allegro introduces its H.264/MPEG-4 AVC certification service at IBC2006. Allegro's set-top box certification service can be used by set-top box manufacturers and broadcasters so as to validate the compliance of their MPEG-4 AVC equipment. The certification service is based on Allegro certification streams, an industry de facto standard. The certification includes testing of syntax support, real-time performance, error resilience, audio-video synchronization, dynamic changes in resolution, dynamic changes of video codec and aspect ratio. In addition to its certification service, Allegro will introduce several new H.264/MPEG-4 AVC test packages at IBC: Error resilience package, Systems streams (audio-video synchronization, ...), Level4.1 package for HD-DVD and Blu-Ray compliance testing, and T-DMB package.
